Station class have been using ramps and ping pong balls in their play. Working together we tried different combinations of ramp to make the balls travel more quickly and stay on the ramp. We realised that the ramp has to be pointing down for the ball to travel down. We also found out that if we put a tuff tray at the bottom of the ramps then the balls don’t roll everywhere (mostly). We then had a think about how we could carry the balls back to the top of the ramp – we used egg cartons because the balls fitted well into them and we were able to carry 12 balls at once. We then had to work as a team to find all the ping pong balls and tidy them away.
