Vision and Values
During the academic year of 2022 and 2023 Minety C of E Primary School looked again at our school vision and values. It is important for schools to do this regularly to ensure that they continue to offer a school that is what is needed for the community at that time.
The full vision and values document can be found here. Information on our Vision and Values
During the process of looking at our vision and values we started by streamling our core values to ensure that as we teach them to children they are able to speak with knowledge and understanding about them. Through working with children, staff and parents we chose Integrity, Aspiration, Resilience, Inclusion, Thankfulness and Respect as our core values.
Over arching our core values is the vision of the school ‘together, we flourish’. This was chosen because, as a school, we are full of wonderful individuals who are unique and each able to achieving alone, however, if we work collectively as a school community we believe that ‘together, we flourish', more than we would if we worked alone.
As a C of E School, we have also underpinned our vision with the Bible Verse:
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10: “Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help them up."
We use our vision and values across our school day. We weave their direct teaching into collective worships and registration time. We celebrate successes in our Golden Book assembly with a focus on one of the different values and as we start to build a curriculum for the children of Minety we will wave our Vision and Values throughout it.
