About me: I have lived locally for over 30 years, having moved here from the Bristol area following privatisation of the electricity industry. I am a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (the IET) and retired from a career as a Control and Protection Systems Engineer in the electricity generation industry a few years ago – hence I have a particular interest in science and maths education. Since retirement I have taken on a number of roles including being President of the local Rotary Club and as Minute Secretary of Minety Church’s Parochial Church Council (PCC) – it is through the latter that I have become a Foundation Governor. Alongside my Church-related activities I am also a volunteer on the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway where I am a signalman.
