In Hornbury we talked about the power of the sun and in particular how it was important to protect our skin and eyes from the sun. We used UV beads, we coated some of them with different factor suncream and covered one in a piece of white T-shirt fabric. One of the beads was our ‘control’ and left uncovered. This bead changed colour straight away when exposed to the sun. We discovered that suncream and a T-shirt provided some protection – the beads did not change colour so quickly.
