Emily

Emily has knocked our socks off this week.

She drew a lovely story map of the story of Little Red Hood.   She was able to tell the story using some brilliant language.  She painted the woods that Little Red Riding hood walked through adding spring details.    She helped make a cake for Grandma and a basket for Red Riding Hood to carry it in.  Then she wrote the whole story – Wow.

Aalya

You are such a hard-working pupil Aayla, you always focus and embrace all of your learning.  You enjoyed creating your own new species that lived in the rainforest and then producing a non-chronological report.  Your writing is so lovely and neat and you used some great sentence starters: surprisingly; amazingly; normally.  You have also been working well in maths, you wrote some super neat calculations and your work was accurate.  Well done Aayla!

Florence

Florence, is so thoughtful and kind. She is always ready to help and support any of her class mates if the need arises. She is an asset to have in my classroom as she consistently shows integrity by completing jobs that help me out around the classroom. This may be in the form of giving out resources or staying back to tidy up the classroom. She  takes her responsibilities seriously – always remembering to do what has been asked of her. Well done Flo – You are a super star.

Riley

Riley has demonstrated aspiration in all areas of his learning this week.  Riley listens carefully to input and acts on feedback straight away in order to improve his work further.  We have been practising self evaluating and editing our writing and Riley has worked really hard on this. Riley has also done brilliantly with his Maths, gaining a clear understanding of decimals and  applying his skills confidently in reasoning tasks. Well done Riley – you have a super learning attitude!

John-James

In Oakleaze Class we have been finding out about the world-wide religion of Islam.   As part of our learning about the 5 Pillars of Islam that Muslims follow we have been discovering more about Ramadan and the celebrations of Eid.  JJ was so focussed during our art lesson using pencil, pen and ink and looked carefully at the details of a mosque to produce a fabulous piece of art work.  Super work, JJ.
